    3. Truth - here -- does anyone look/go over the listings of additions I send ? Are they at all helpful? Sometimes I send them weekly, mostly monthly (see below) when I have to check in with the state anyway. Would it be more helpful weekly? I could do that (most of the time unless it's my magazine week and then might be a diff story :) I could try that week anyway Any other comments Here ya' go for this month *-------- ADDITIONS FOR AUGUST 2015 ----------* *128 - Obituaries : Allen; Beazley; Booker; Brown; Bryant; Boots; Burk; Corbin; Cox; Conrad; Easley; Everson;Ebaugh; Ebenholtz; Glanigan; Fullenwider; Galey; Geiger; Grote; Groves; Galvin; Goode; Gooding; Goldsmith; Gorham; Gott; Graham; Gravett; Gray; Hartsinger; Hartman; Hartung; Hillabold; Hendrix; Henderson; Hatch; Harvey; Hanna; Hardee; Harmon; Harris; Jolley; Jordan; Little; McCain;p Martz; Miller; Lynch; McCormick; Munns; O'Connor; Olinger; Patton; Payne; Pickett; Reeder; Rice; Tague; Saidla; Smith; Servies; Williams; Watkins; Ward; Whittington; Youngman & more -- (thanks to Sue P for several of these)* *3 - Biographies -- Parker; Hawkins; Chadwick (we've typed all the county histories so these are few & far between - exciting when we get 'em :)* *13 - News Items - Bugs & Nuptials mostly (Jones; Groves; Hannah; Hardee; Conrad; Johnson; Kritz as well as an article on two local girls going to a music conservative and a family reunion). Also accidents; babies born & Gray family Reunion ...* *17 - Photos - Bridge; schools; teachers; churches; people ...* *3 - Towns -- making the grand total (so far, we still think there may be a whistle stop or two out there :) 401 towns in Montgomery County * *5 - Schools - Canine; Green; Lydick; Moore and added teachers to several others - information about CHS gym built in 1919 (neat one) * *3- Links (Crawfordsville Library is great - they have two new links - naturalization and Index to Persons & Firms ; Upcoming Genealogy Events * *2 - Military - Discharge & KIA (these are the ones that get me the most when I'm typing or putting one up :(*

    3. I definitely read what you send since I'm looking diligently to get through a major barrier! I'm looking for any information that proves Joel Brookshire and wife Sarah Slack Brookshire - who migrated from NC to Montgomery Co, IN in 1830 had a daughter named Nancy who married a Joel Graves (he came from NC too)! Nancy and Joel Graves evidently moved to IA shortly after they married. I've found information on several of the Brookshire boys and some of the girls, but nothing on Nancy other than a Montgomery marriage record. Haven't found any newspaper items in the services to which I subscribe (Newspapers and GenealogyBank). Any ideas of where else to look or of someone who might be able to help? -----Original Message----- From: inmontgo-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:inmontgo-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Karen Zach via Sent: Tuesday, September 1, 2015 1:07 AM To: inmontgo@rootsweb.com Subject: [InMontgo] DISCUSSION PLEASE Truth - here -- does anyone look/go over the listings of additions I send ? 3. I look over the listings. In fact, a couple of last week's additions were my family. I have a lot on my plate now and am not spending time on genealogy, but I do file away new information for when I can get back to it. 3. GREAT COMMENTS via the list & private e-mails -- thanks so much. It was quite helpful -- so, good dealsky, I'll continue sending out the updates - hopefully every couple of weeks, if not, FOR SURE monthly :) Thanks so much everyone for the helpfulness. You guys are ALWAYS helpful. Some of you have stuck through the 20 years of my craziness even. Sometimes I get nutty ideas but you all come through to help. Thanks, thanks, thanks for being the #1 listserve in my book :) kbz On 9/1/2015 6:30 AM, Melissa Jackson wrote: > I look over the listings. 3. I always look to see if any of my family names are listed or the towns cemeteries etc that relate to them. Keep up the great work Karen, you ARE appreciated! Not many do what you do or as well. I love this site & it makes me feel a part of it. 3. I look forward to receiving messages with site additions. First, of course, I look for my family names. Then I go to the site and read items that look interesting, many of which are not related to my families. I enjoy reading about life as it was for my people and their friends and neighbors. Please keep it coming.
