Notes for PETER BARNHART: Crawfordsville Review Mon Jan 17, 1916 -- Peter BARNHART, 83, died Sunday morning at 5:30 at his home 1011 S. Grant Ave. He had been in failing health for several years with a complication of diseases. His death was hastened by an attack of the grip. He was affectionately known as Uncle Pete to his many friends. Mr. Barnhart enlisted as amember of Co. A 23rd Ky inf during civil war. At close of the rebellion he came to this city where he has since resided. The deceased was born in Lawrenceburg and was the son of Jacob Barnhart. He was a member of the Christian Church of this city. His widow and 4 sons, George H. Barnhart of Danville, Ill ; Peter Barnhart Jr. of wallace; Frank and Charles of this city and two daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Grimes and Mrs. Sadie Cassidy of CHicago survive. The funearl will be held at the late hom Tuesday afternoon 2 o'clock Rev. R. E. Moss pastor of the CHristian Church will have charge of the services. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery.
