Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, Jan 25, 1918 -- A pretty wedding was celebrated in the parlors of the Claypool Hotel (Indianapolis) at 3 o'clock Tuesday when Miss Carrie Thompson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Thompson of North Salem, formerly of Indianpaolis became the bride of John S. Tinsley of Crawfordsville. Miss Marie Tinsley of Crawfordsville, sister of the groom as maid of honor and A.M. Thompson, brother of the bride as best man, the attendants. Mr. Tinsley is a son of H. R. Tinsley of Crawfordsville and brother of councilman Robert Tinsley. Only the near relatives and a few friends were present for the ceremony which was pronounced by Rev. Lee Tinsley of Crawfordsville. The bride was in a gown of yellow chiffon over satin, fashioned in colonial style and her picturesque black hat was faced with yellow. She wore a corsage bouquet of violets. Mr. and Mrs. Tinsley will spend a few days at the Claypool before going to Crawfordsville for residence, where the at home address will be 1010 W. Wabash Avenue. Mr. O.R. Thompson and son, Fred of Greenwood were among the guests.
