Line Marries Fall Festival Beauty Queen Saturday Noon Miss Charlotte Peters of Linden and Walter Wert Line of this city were married at high noon on Saturday [Oct 25, 1924] at Danville, Ill. The marriage vows were read by Rev. Ewing, pastor of the Methodist church at his home. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Peters of Linden. Very popular in the social circles of that place, a charming young woman, a beautiful brunette and chosen beauty queen of the Fall Festival held here Oct 22 [1924]. She is a graduate of the Linden high school and for the past few years has been librarian at the Linden public library. Mr. Line is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Line, 400 east Main street, this city. He attended the local high school but before finishing he moved with his parents to Los Angeles, Calif. where he completed his school work. Mr. Line is a prosperous young farmer who is working in partnership with his father. Immediately after their marriage on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Line drove to the home of the bride's parents at Linden for a short visit and later came to Crawfordsville where they were the dinner guests of the groom's parents. On Saturday evening they went to Indianapolis, returning here on Sunday, For the present the newly wedded young couple will spend their time in Linden and in this city with their parents and in the spring will be at home to their friends at 511 east Market street. One day this week at Linden, the townspeople are going to celebrate with a banquet in compliment to the bride who was crowned beauty queen.
