Crawfordsville Journal-Review 2 Dec 1977 p 2 -- Ada P. Middleton, 92 of Rt. 3, Crawfordsville died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Theron Katherine McClure of Crawfordsville. She was a member of Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was born in Crawfordsville Oct 9, 1885, the daughter of David I. and Martha C. Stump Payton. She married E. A. "Eal" Middleton. He died in 1958. Surviving are two sons, Raymond and David H; another daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Helen) Bauer 3 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and four brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Eldon Coons officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
