Crawfordsville Journal Review 3 Dec 1956 -- Donald D. Middleton, 54, of 1409 Danville Ave, died at Culver Hospital Sundy at 5 a.m. He had been ill since July. He was born in Crawfordsville March 15 1902, the son of Earl and Ada Payton Middleton. He married Laura Haltom in Spencer April 15, 1922. Middleton had been employed by the Eckers Bakery for 33 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church all Masonic bodies, Linden Sportsmen's Club, the Auxiliary Police & Civil Defense. He was a past member of Crawfordsville Community Sportsmen's Club Board of Directors and deputy conservation officer. Surviving are the wife, the parents, two brothers, Raymond and David Middleton; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Bauer and Mrs. Katherine McClure and several nieces, nephews, aunt and uncles. Funeral services will be at the Proffitt & Brown Funeral Home Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating. Masonic services will be conducted at the funeral home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
