Crawfordsville Journal Review, Wednesday, April 11, 1973, page 3 Francis Humphreys ROMNEY- Francis M. “Frank” Humphreys, 83, died Tuesday afternoon in Hollywood, Calif. Mr. Humphreys was a 50-year member of Romney Masonic Lodge 441 and a member of the Romney Methodist Church. He was born Oct. 11, 1889, in Vermillion County, Ill., to Samuel and Sarah Griffin Humphreys. He was married to Marie Sinclair at Wingate on Feb. 19, 1913. She preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons, Francis Lee “Buz” Humphreys of San Diego, Calif., and Richard Winston “Dick” Humphreys of Hollywood, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Wallace (Mary) Van Sickle of Van Nuys, Calif.; three brothers, Wilbur of Crawfordsville, Charles of Hillsboro and Carl of Waveland, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Fruits of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, a daughter, a sister and nine brothers. Services are to be in Hollywood, Calif. on Friday.
