Coffinberry, 68 years old, is dead at his home on south Mill street, after having suffered for months with a large cancer on his face. The aged man has been confined to his bed for some weeks past and has been suffering great pain. Death came as a relief to his agony Monday afternoon. The services will be in charge of Rev. B.E. Antrobus, pastor of the First Baptist church of which the deceased was a member. The quartet of the baptist church will sing. Mr. Coffinberry was born in Warren county, Ind., September 30, 1844. He had resided in this city for many years where he was a well known teamster. He was a veteran of the Civil war having seen active service. He is survived by his widow, Alice Coffinberry, three sons and one daughter.

    3. This one is interesting - 3 sons and one daughter surviving and I had about at least 6 of his children (had 12 to my count) living at that time :( ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kim & Roger Hancock" <hancock@link2000.net> To: <inmontgo@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 04, 2009 7:36 PM Subject: [InMontgo] Nathan L. 3. You got the right one, I found a Nathan married to Sarah Frazer in 1826, and this Nathan's wife was Alice Kelsey or Kelley, got from marriage record of kids, Looks like Nora married a Claude Linn At first I thought his parents were Benjamin and Bethshaba, not sure on any thing yet, till I look up his death certificate. but the Nathan and Sarah were married here, and his obit says he was born in Benton, so I can not post any information on him yet. 3. I don't have access to 1850 census but found him in Warren Co in 1860 quite some time ago - he'd not have turned 16 yet as born in Sept census 9 June - there were two other young Coffenberry boys George age 13 and John 16 who also were farm laborers in Warren Co in that census - figured they were his brothers and parents died young, especially since Nathan's oldest son was George. 1860 Jordan Twp Warren Co IN William B.
