Crawfordsville Journal Review 21 July 1939 -- Darlington, July 20 - Clearvill (sic) Morton Cook, 77 ill for the past 12 years and for 3 years an invalid expired at 7 o'clock tonight at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hardin Tincher, 3 miles south of here. Mr. Cook was born Nov 28, 1861, the son of Charles and Rachel Cook. On Sept 31, 1891, he married Orah B. Johnson who died 35 years ago. Surviving besides Mrs. Tincher are daughter, Mrs. Effie Youngblood, Holdensville, OK; a son, Charles H. Cook near Darlington; two brothers, Charles W. and Frank Cook both of near Darlington; two sisters, Mrs. DV Pittman and Mrs. Silas Dunbar, both of Crawfordsville; a grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services have not been completed. ==== Crawfordsville Journal Review 27 July 1939 - Darlington, July 26 - Funeral services for Clearville Morton Cook, who passed away on Thursday evening July 20 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hardin Tincher, were conducted in the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 with Rev. AL Miller, pastor of the church in charge. Roy Wells, Lester Reed and Walter Stewart with Mrs. Glen Carson accompanist, sang Old Rugged Cross, Face to Face and We'll Never Grow Old. The tribute bearers were Dorothy Mary and Joan Cook, Mary Emma and Jimmie Tincher and Thelma Dean Paddack. The honorary pallbearers were Willard Craig, Aniel Booher, Chas. Lear and AD Peebles. The active pallbearers were Wallace Peebles, Tom Tincher, Orville Horn, Joe Wheeler, Walter Moffett and Harley Paddack. Burial was made in IOOF cemetery.
