Milne, 87, Dies On Saturday; Rites On Monday Mrs. Rose Irwin Milne, 87, 255 South Jackson street, died at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Ashley Nursing Home here after an illness of three and a half months. Born February 13, 1867, in Montgomery County, daughter of William A. and Martha Strange Irwin, she was married October 19, 1892, to Don F. Milne, who died December 2, 1927. Her husband had been superintendent of the Clover Leaf Division of the Nickel Plate Railroad. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Inter Nos Club. Surviving are a son, Arthur P. Milne, of this city; two grandchildren, Don F. Milne, of Gary, and Alice R. Cougill, of this city, and one great-grandson, Dan M. Cougill, of this city. A son, Robert I. Milne; two sisters, Margaret Carter and Alice Lough; and one brother, Ol Irwin, all preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Goodwin funeral home here with Rev. Howard Kipp and Dr. Harry Crain in charge. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after two o'clock this afternoon.
