Source: Crawfordsville Journal Review 12 July 1974 p 3 Wingate - Mrs. Iva Kennedy, 73 of Wingate who has been active in the Center Christian Church near Elmdale since 1913, died Thursday in Carle Clinic at Urbana, Ill. She taught Sunday School at the church since 1913 and was the organist since 1917. The church organ has not been used since Mrs. Kennedy became ill six weeks ago. She was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and Elmdale Home Extension Club. Mrs. Kennedy and her husband have resided here for the past 22 years moving from their farm near New Richmond. Born July 7, 1901, she was a daughter of Eldon and Leota Fulwider Bunnell. She was married December 14, 1918 to Gould Kennedy of Elmdale who survives. Other survivors include a foster son, Ben Kennedy of Wingate; a brother, Jacob Bunnell of Elmdale, a sister, Mrs. Ethel Watts of New Richmond and five foster grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Services will be conducted at 2 pm. Sunday in Center Church with Rev. Homer Hunsinger and Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown after 2 p.m. Saturday.
