Crawfordsville Journal Review 7-May-1962 4- Mrs. Etta Dazey Succumbs At 82- Mrs. Etta L. Dazey, 82, of 1924 Delaware St., died Sunday evening in Culver Hospital. She had been seriously ill since sustaining a hip fracture April 28. Born March 22, 1880, in North Carolina, she was a daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Tutterow Godbey. She was twice married. She was first married to Charles McDaniel, who preceded her in death. She married Clifford Dazey Mary 16, 1916. He died in October of 1960. Mrs. Dazey was a member of the Fremont Street Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Clarence McDaniel of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Dwight N. Godbey of Thomasville, N. C.; three brothers-in-law, R. N. Bunnell and Charles Dazey, both of Wingate and Barnum Dazey of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are pending.
