    3. Kim, thank you so much for all the Emmert information! This one's causing me questions, though, which perhaps someone knows how to resolve. Evelyn and Letha, I thought, were Stella's daughters, and are given as survivors to young Lewis when he died in 1918. So Mrs. Evelyn Lowe of Crawfordsville is a stepdaughter? Clara didn't have an Evelyn, I thought. An Evelyn Emmert married a James Houk in 1914 in Boone County, but she would be too old for a daughter of Stella (and I do not have her attached to any other Emmerts in Boone County yet). I tried for Evelyn Marshall marriages, but none which seem to connect in Indiana Marriages. I tried for Evelyn Emmert marriages of later date, and didn't find those either. Any thoughts? Did Letha bring up her two younger sisters after her stepmother's death? Is Clara Marshall's maiden name known? Clara Walden married Jesse Marshall on 23 Dec 1907 in Montgomery County, lived in Adams, Parke Co, IN with baby Helen in the 1910 US Census. Jesse James Marshall, b. abt 1884 in Kentucky, d. 18 Aug 1916 in Crawfordsville.
