    3. This one's weird, but probably because it's in the Great Empty Space after 1930. Possibility: Linnie was married outside Indiana. There's no listed marriage on Ancestry for a Linnie/Alice married to a Mack. Possibility: Linnie was married more than once. There's no listed Indiana marriage for Doris "Mack" to a Stout. Possibility 3: Linnie (or Belinda or Melinda) was not a Mack in 1930. She had great-grandchildren in 1970, so it would be reasonable to suppose she was alive and married in 1930. A Melinda Mack married Frank J. Borst in Vanderburgh County in 1909, but it seems too distant in a couple of ways. Insufficient data for me! I regret that my resources do not produce an instant solution! Good luck, Karen! Then one Doris RUTLEDGE, mrd Lester STOUT, 23 may 1918. Sometime, between 1910 and 1970 she most likely mrd Mr. Mack. Linnie Alice is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Union Twp. 1. [InMontgo] Lawson B. Vaughn Obit please post
    2. Kim & Roger Hancock
    3. Crawfordsville Weekly Journal, Friday, September 10. 1997 Lawson B., son of Howard and Pearl Vaughn was born March 27, 1897, and died September 5, 1897, age 5 months and nine days. Little Lawson, the only child of a devoted father and mother, was taken sick on Thursday evening and died Sunday evening. His sickness was short but during that time the little babe suffered death many times. His death came upon us as a keen clap of thunder from a clear sky. Little Lawson was a sweet child possessed of a temperament for pleasantness unsurpassed and no doubt thrilled the loving parents heart with unspeakable joy when they would look into the little face always wore a smile. A bright flower has been taken from them, a treasure that nothing of this earth can restore. For anyone to know little Lawson was to love him. It is sad for the loving parents to give up their loving babe, yet they should remember that the loss to us is a gain to God. It will strengthen the loving parents and the rest of us as well, to reflect on what heaven will be when adorned with such precious jewel as little Lawson. It will inspire us to make our lives more a reality in order that we may enjoy a home be decked with the most precious and loving things that God has given mankind. We should realize that the bitterer the cup we taste on this earth the sweeter the cup will be in the "sweet bye and bye." In the measureless realm of time how short is our earthly life, yet how momentous and eternal its issues. Life's experiences of happiness and sorrow, coming thick and fast are the soul's appointed means of growth. Today we build our castle, tomorrow fickle fortune snatches from hope the promise of joy. Today the presence of loved ones fills our cup with joy; tomorrow sore bereavement casts us into the valley of sorrow. Then we should brace up and make this life the best we can and the heartaches we have here will be more than a thousand times counterbalanced when we shall clasp the hand and take to our fond embrace the loved ones beyond the "valley of death." It being the largest crowd that has attended an infant funeral at Liberty we hope that the bereaved parents will take it as evidence that the people share with you in your sore bereavement. Note:Parents are Hoaward and Pearl Biddle Vaughn
