    3. Thank goodness! She sounds like a peach, I'm so glad she's OK! Date: Wed, 24 Sep 2008 15:44:46 -0400 From: "Karen Zach" <karen.zach@sbcglobal.net> Subject: Re: [InMontgo] I'll probably be zapped To: <inmontgo@rootsweb.com> Reilley's MRI showed now abnormalities - no tumor or anything. We're so proud of how brave she was and thrilled at the news. She just needs to get a hearing aid. The Dr. said it probably hasn't come on all at once as we thought but had been developing since birth and she's so smart, that she's compensated all these years. She does talk loud but we thought that was a trait she picked up from her mother & me :) Luckily, her teacher noticed it (she'd never missed a spelling word and wrote plane for grain) and so glad we finally got her on the right track, and so thankful there's no tumor. Thanks for ALL the prayers and well-wishes.

    2. What thrilling news. I didn't want to say anything, obviously, but one of my best friends just lost her 4 yr old granddaughter to cancer that affected her one eye and ear, a tumor of some kind. I am really relieved that you don't have that problem! Continued best of luck. Blessings, Pegeen In a message dated 9/24/2008 2:45:26 P.M. But, she has a GREAT attitude and as Suzie (dau) says, "Whatever it is, we'll deal with it :)" I"m just prying it's a hearing aid and glasses and that's it :( ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kathleen Lynch" <kslynch62@hotmail.com> To: <inmontgo@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2008 11:14 PM Subject: Re: [InMontgo] I'll probably be zapped > > Karen, tell Reilley that we're sending hugs and blessings! 2. Hi, For anyone who may want to stop by when Amy Terry is working on Redenbaugh Cemetery at Southmont, we have changed the date to the 27th. Amy is the serious student of restoration, and I will be the unskilled labor. We are happy to learn that the shop department at Southmont is resuming work on the wrought iron fence that will surround the cemetery. It's all good, except for our inability to put enough time into it. Sharon Mills

    3. Crawfordsville Review Monday May 29, 1916 -p- 5 - King City MO Chronicle - Lewis Marion Rush was born at Crawfordsville, Ind March 1 1836 and departed this life at his home in King City April 6, 1916. He had thus passed the 80th mile stone. He was apparently in the best of health. He slept like a child on Wednesday night. He awoke at 5 o'clock and seemed as well as usual but did not get up. Before six he passed away without a struggle or even a groan. His home going was both sudden and silent. Mr. rush married Miss Margaret E. Wilkinson at Crawfordsville Oct 16, 1866. to this union were born 5 children: Mary Allen an James Henry who died in infancy; Edward Elbert, Charles Elton and Sarah Alice. Mr. and Mrs. Rush came to Missouri in 1880, they settle on a farm near McFall, MO where they resided for several years. In 1895 they moved to King City where he has since lived until the day of his death. He has thus been a citizen of this city for more than 20 years. He was one of our old and respected citizens. Mr. Rush was the oldest of 13 children. His father died when he was small and he thus had the responsibility of helping his widowed mother rear the children. He worked and helped his mother care for the children. He took up the cooper's trade. Later in life he ran a saw mill and also a threshing machine. He was successful in everything he undertook. Mr. Rush was converted when a young man. Several years after his conversion he united with the Berlin Baptist Church. When he moved to King City he united with the King City Baptist Church and was a member of this church until the day of his death. He leaves a wife and 3 children, Edward Elbert rush, Abbeyville, Ks; Charles Elton Rush an Mrs. Sarah Alice Sylvester of King City 3 brothers, Charles Rush, Crawfordsville Ind: John Rush, Abbyville, Ks; and Frank Rush, Carmon, Ok and one sister, Mrs. David Owens, King City Mo also 15 grandchildren and a great many friends and loved ones to mourn his sudden death. It is sad that our been brother and friend has been so suddenly called from us but let us hope that he awoke in that bright world beyond the sunset's golden glow where dreams come true and bright hopes fold their wings in happy triumph. He said "good night" here to say "good morning" there. The funeral services were conducted at home by Rev DC Campbell assisted by Rev WS Ball. The interment was at King City Cemetery.

The end came while Mr. Vancleave was sitting in the swing on his porch talking. He suddenly fell over and died immediately. Heart disease is the cause of the death. He was 56. Mr. Vancleave formerly lived about 5 miles south of the city, on the Greencastle Road but moved a little over a year ago to his residence on W. Market. He was in rather bad health at the time and has steadily declined. However his death was unexpected, as he was apparently in as good health Saturday as he had been. He leaves a wife, Nancy Vancleave and 4 children to mourn his death: Floyd who lives on the farm from which Mr. Vancleave moved; June Thompson who lives northwest of Yountsville; Bertha Surface whose residence is four miles south of town; and Mary who is living with her mother at home.
