    2. No, but thanks -- the triple marriage and all the divorces caught me off guard is all. It just hadn't occurred to me and I spent a good long while looking for the other Austin Wert LOL! (In vain, there is not other Austin Wert. Thanks for the offer, Suzy At one time, maybe not now, the Indiana State Lib. recorded the parents' names for whichever spouse you entered first. Might be worth checking. Ancestry.com shows all three marriages (to Hattie Miller, to Julia Osborne, to Nellie Rogers ) as marriages to Austin E. Wert. Suzy, have you checked census records to see who he's living with in 1900, etc? I can check if you wish. Kathy **************New year...new news. Be the first to know what is making headlines. 2. I am having trouble seeing if these emails are coming through the list or are just between the two of us. That last one with all the names was to go personally to Karen -- sorry about that! Looks like this is public. There was no Oscar Wert that I know of, however, I don't know most of the Werts past 1920. I was just thinking, if we were talking on the phone, doesn't Austin sound like Oscar? Botom line is, I don't know who he was. 1. Re: [InMontgo] OBIT: Austin E. Wert, 80 Waynetown Native
    2. Ah, shoot! I was hoping YOU would straighten ME out! LOL I am in the same boat...plus I don't know who George and Sarah Wert even are! I can't come up with that combination anywhere, but all the George Werts seem to have stayed in Ohio. Yes, it is all messed up -- but the obits cannot be correct if the Masonic Cemetery info is correct unless I am really missing something. Austin Elvert Wert according to the Library page for the Masonic Cemetery: Husb/1Harriet Miller/2Julia Osborn/3Nellie Hendricks Rogers . The interesting thing is that John Hyde Wert and both Clodfelter sisters are buried there, just as you said about him being the some of John Hyde Wert. That group is the only group of Werts buried there. You don't suppose the obit could be *that* messed up, so you? Harriet A "Hattie" Miller married 21 Dec 1892; according to her obit, “She was married 31 years and was the mother of three children.” -- bringing the year to 1923, the year of her death. There is no room unless he was a bigamist. He was not listed in hr obit, making me think she was married in her heart or something. she died 13 Dec 1923 Floyd Russell Katherine (is this Mrs Leo Bundy? from the obit) I also have her as Mrs. Ulysses H. Elmore married on 04 Apr 1928. Austin & Hattie must have divorced, and he married: Julia Osborn married 18 Nov 1907 she died 1949 ----> I don't think she belongs in this group unless they divorced, too. She wasn't listed in his obit, but she is listed on the cemetery site, however she is not buried in the group. Then he married: Nellie O Hendricks married 02 Dec 1916 she died Oct 1951 and they had Carl Wert Ikey Wert These were Nellie and Hayes Rogers children that Austin Wert adopted: Wilford Wert, Frankfort Paul Wert, Hillsburg, Ind, Oh my I need helpon these Werts -- I have 'em mixed up -- I have Austin E. Wert s/o John Hyde Wert & Barbar Clodfelter married to Nellie Hendricks and Austin Wert s/o ? married to Harriet Miller. YIKES - what have I done? **************New year...new news.
