Crawfordsville Journal-Review March 24, 1934 -- Hillsboro, March 24 - Mrs. Mary Ellen Wilkinson, 77, residen tof this vicinity nearly all of her life died at her home here Friday night at midnight after an illness of more than two months. Mrs. Wilkinson who was suffering from a complication of diseases, had been in a serious condition since Jan 16. The deceased was born on a farm two miles northwest of Wallace Oct 23, 1856 the daughter of Lewis and Mary Keller Rogers. She was married to T. W. Wilkinson December 1880. Her husband preceded her in death by 3 years. Mrs. Wilkinson became a member of the Freedom Christian Church when she was a girl, later transferring her membership to the Hillsboro Christian Church. She spent all her lif ein Fountain County with the exception of a few years she lived in Crawfordsville. The survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Della Lambdin, of Veedersburg, mrs. Cecil McClure of near Yountsville, Mrs. Rose Rynearson of Anderson .

    3. Crawfordsville Journal July 18, 1931 -- W. T. Hillsboro, July 17 -- Wilkinson well known in Montgomery and Fountain counties, passed away at his home here Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock after a long illness of complications. He was born on a farm near Alamo, August 16, 1851, the son of James and Eliza Wilkinson. He was married to Miss Mary Rogers Nov 2, 1879 and moved to a farm near Wallace, where he reisded for a number of years. He later moved to Crawfordsville where he was engaged in the grocery business for several years. He had resided in Hillsboro for some time. He was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are the widow; five daughters, Mrs. Elmer Lambdin of Veedersburg; Mrs. Clifford McClure of Yountsville; Mrs. Rynear Rynearson of Anderson; Mrs. Don Taylor of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Forest Bolen of Veedersburg; one son, Orvill of Hillsboro; three brothers, George of Crawfordsville; Joseph of Indianapolis; and Lon of Attica and three sisters, Mrs. Guy Livengood of Waynetown; Mrs. Sherman Dwiggins of Attica and Mrs. Lilly Fye of HIllsboro. Two children died in infancy and one son, Claude was killed in the world war.

    3. Crawfordsville Journal Dec 27, 1930 -- D.M. (Daniel Manson) Wilkinson, 72, 311 South Walnut Street died at a hospital in Indianapolis Saturday morning at 9 o'clock after an illness of only two days. Mrs. (sic) Wilkinson suffered a stroke of apoplexy on Christmas day and was rushed to Indianapolis. Pneumonia set in and death followed ina short time. The deceased was born in Fountain County just west of Almo on August 14, 1858 the son of James and Eliza Wert Wilkinson. He married in June 1886 to Miss Hattie Moffett. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church at Ingersoll Corner and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. The survivors are the widow, Mrs. Hattie Wilkinson; four brothers, William T. Wilkinson of Hillsboro; George B. Wilkinson of this city; James L. Wilkinson of Indianapolis and Alonzo Wilkinson of HIllsboro; Mrs. Minnie Livengood of Waynetown and Mrs. Dot Dwiggins of Attica. The complete funeral arrangements have not yet been made. The Masonic lodge will have charge of the services.

    3. Crawfordsville Daily Journal 7 May 1927 - Decator Wilkinson well known retired farmer of this city died at 8 o'clock Friday night at Culver Union Hospital. His death was caused by complications and followed an illness which lasted since June 1925. Mr. Wilkinson was born on June 11, 1854 in Fountain County the son of James and Eliza Wilkinson. On January 20, 1876, he married Emma P. Thompson. Mr. Wilkinson spent his life in Fountain and Montgomery counties, moving to Crawfordsville from his farm about 10 years ago. He was a member of the Christian Church of this city and belonged to the Odd Fellows lodge at Alamo. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Sylvia and son Fred, five grandchildren and five brothers and five sisters. The funeral will be held from the late home on West Main Street at 2 o'clock on Mondy afternoon. The Rev. JH Wilson of the First Christian Church will officiate and burial in Waynetown cemetery.

    2. Obituary Susan C. Wert, daughter of David and Mary Myers Fine was born on a farm near Wallace, October 11, 1848. Here she grew to womanhood and on Jan 4, 1874, she was united in marriage to Joseph Wert who preceeded her in death November 25, 1920. After her marriage she and her husband began housekeeping in Wallace, residing there for a number of years, later to a farm in the Myers neighborhood, and later to a farm on the Perrysville road. Returning from that farm to Wallace where she and her husband resided until his death after which she made her home for the most part in Wallace. In childhood she was baptized in the Lutheran church and later confirmed into that church and continued a member of the same until the end of life's journey. She had been in declining health for many years and seriously ill for several weeks, growing weaker day by day, until the end at ten thirty a.m. Tuesday June 23, [1931] at the age of 82 years, either months, and twelve days. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ida Barnett of near Waynetown, Mrs Effie Smith of near Crawfordsville, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Rachel Roberts of Wallace, one brother, Jacob E. Fine of Wallace, many other relatives and friends. Following within a few hours the death of her son, Dr Charles Wert, she passed unto her reward and may peace be unto her departed soul.     2. MRS INA H MYERS DIES SUDDENLY AT CULVER HOSPITAL _____________________ Popular Young Woman and Wife of Byron F. Myers, Dies After Son Is Born ______________________ Ina Hazel Myers, wife of Byron F. Myers, died suddenly at the Culver hospital Thursday night [4 Feb 1926] following the birth of a son. Mrs. Myers death took place at 11:30 p.m., one hour after the son was born. The young woman's death is a tragic one and leaves the members of her family prostrated with grief. Heart failure is believed to have been the cause. Mrs. Myers was a very popular young woman of this city and her sudden death comes as a great shock to her many friends. For a few years she was prominently connected with the schools here having taught at the Mills and in Fiskville. She was born Oct 30, 1893, southwest of Waynetown and came with her family to Crawfordsville eight years ago. Mrs. Myers was the daughter of Decatur and Emma Thompson Wilkinson. United in marriage on October 26, 1924 to Byron F. Myers, the couple went to Indianapolis where they had since lived. Recently Mrs Myers returned to her parents' home here and a few days ago was taken to the Culver hospital. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Christian church here and of the order of Rebekahs. Besides her husband and infant son, Mrs Myers is survived by her parents, Mr and Mrs Decatur Wilkinson, 1107 west Main street, one brother, Fred of this city and one sister, Mrs. Sylvia M. Walters of Indianapolis. The condition of the infant son is reported to be very satisfactory. The funeral services will be conducted from the Christian church here Sunday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of the Rev John Servies.
