    3. Added this month: 176 obituaries 10 more towns (over 250 now in our county - it's totally amazing - often just a drop in the road or as they say, whistle stop on the rr but they are legit places in our county - our goal was 100 now we've changed it to 300 -- there are 4-5 of us working on it - FUN) Other items: links; military; biographies; who's who; death records and have added more photographers for our ever-growing photogr. page. That too has been fun. Highlight was actually a few minutes ago when a man (his mother was my Girl Scout leader when I was a kid) came to our door and had some pictures of his mom and mine I'd never seen - then as I was flipping through his album, I saw something that was a big find -- 6 pictures of the race track in our home town of 1947-52 - these were in June 1949 and very clear - I was excited about that !!

    3. Definitely too late for that for me but what a grand idea. I completely lost everything from S-Z and the others will mildew soon but Jim has most scanned - however, with the way genealogy changes the originals would be best. We spent $6000 to get it dried so that'd never happen so wasn't worried but hubs didn't call the company to check on the equipment in 17 years although they'd sent him reminders and that's what it happened - gotta' love him - at least our kids'll love us - nothing down there (or hardly anything) now and what is is up high now - definitely something all of us genealogist need to think about whether we have the important papers secured properly - I sure didn't :( On 5/25/2013 11:03 AM, Jeffery Scism wrote: > Am I the only person who puts genealogy papers in those "Vacuum Storage > Bags" that you seal and vacuum out the air? > > Jeff > > http://indianagenweb.com/inmontgomery/ > > List Manager - inmontgo-admin@rootsweb.com > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to INMONTGO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >

    3. This is probably the wrong one, I do not see the Evans name at all Source: Waveland Independent 7-1-1932 Miss Sarah Dorcas Durham died at the family home northwest of town on Friday. Miss Durham has been an invalid for a long time as the result of a fall, but the immediate cause of death is cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral services at the home on Sunday afternoon were in charge of Rev. Victor Keiser. Burial was at Maple Ridge. The following obituary was read, "Sarah Dorcas, daughter of John and Sarah Stubbins Durham was born Dec 28, 1854 and died June 24, 1932. Survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Emma Josephine Burford, Nancy B. Durham, Samuel Wakefield and Harry Morton Durham. Early in life she united with the Methodist Church. Hers was a life of loving sacrifice and service. She was very quiet and reserved by nature - only those closely associated with her knew of her many acts of kindness. She was greatly afflicted for a number of years. Although patient, she grew weary often wishing she might go home to the Father's house. When God came for her in the early afternoon on June 24, we welcomed his coming, as we knew she would have done had she known of his coming.
