Indiana American, May 8, 1868. The brick depot of the Louisville, New Albany & Chicago Railroad at Bloomington, together with a large amount of valuable freight stored therein was consumed by fire. Loss Heavy. The fire is supposed to have been communicated to the building by lightning.
