DEATH MISS DOCUS RAINEY, FORMER RESIDENT Mrs. W. D. Elder of West 5th Street has received the sad news of the death of her niece, Miss Dorcus (consider Dorcas a spelling variant) Rainey, age 18, at the home in Lafayette, of double pneumonia after only a brief illness. Miss Rainey is a former well-known resident and had been living in Lafayette for some time with her mother, Mrs. Florence Wilson. John Faucett, west of the city, is an uncle. The body arrived this afternoon over the Monon and was taken to the home of the aunt, Mrs. W. D. Elder. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
