Bloomington (Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana) Daily Telephone, June 27, 1928, p. 10. HEAVY FALLING STONE HURTS EARL CHESTNUT Earl Chestnut, worker on the remodeling of the University power plant, was painfully but not seriously injured Monday when a chunk of concrete under which we was shoveling became loosened and fell, striking him on the head and shoulder. The stone was 4 feet long by 3 feet wide and about 18 inches thick and weighed between 300 and 500 pounds. Chestnut turned to the left to a moment and the stone fell upon him, striking him first on the head and then the shoulder, bruising his back, and severely lacerating his temple and wrist.
