In October 1874, Nancy Jane Corsaw petitioned the Monroe County court for a divorce from her husband, Henry Corsaw, whom she reportedly married on September 5, 1846, and remained with until 1872. Two sons, now adults, were born to the marriage. Henry reportedly was an habitual drunk and did not provide for her support. At the time of the petition, he was reportedly living in Nevada.
