    3. Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Progress, January 17, 1872, p. 3. This is to certify how the Home Insurance Company of New York, treated John M. Saddler, of Solsberry, Ind. On the 4th day of Nov. 1871, M. L. Snodgrass, Agent of the above Company, insured my dwelling house for $2,000, for three years. On the 7th day of Dec., 1871, while I was in Ohio, my house caught fire and was burned down. On the 16th of December. Mr. Moody, Special Agent of the Company, and M. L. Snodgrass, Local Agent, adjusted my loss and reported it to the Company, and on the 27th of December, M. L. Snodgrass had the draft for the full amount of the loss; and here is my receipt: Received of the Home Insurance Company, of New York, by the hand of M. L. Snodgrass, Agent, the sum of two thousand dollars, being in full of all claims and demands for loss and damage by fire, on the 7th day of Dec., 1871, to the property insured by Policy No. 84. Insured at the Bloomington Agency of said Company. JOHN M. SADDLER. Snodgrass & Dobbs are Agents for the above old and reliable Company, with capital and assets of Four Million Dollars. Constance T.
