    3. Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Telephone, October 3, 1893, p. 4. The slick-fingered gentry only got in their work once during the fair, when Mrs. J. H. Dowden was relieved of a valuable gold watch. While she was in a crowd, the watch which was loosely held in the belt of her dress, was taken by some unknown person. As yet, there is no clew to the thief. This was the only act of the kind reported on the grounds, and Officers Owens and Reeves deserve special credit for the police protection. Constance T. Shotts, Ed.D., CG(SM) CG and Certified Genealogist are Service Marks of the Board for Certification of Genealogists, used under license by board certificants after periodic evaluations by the Board and the board name is a trademark registered in the US Patent and Trademark Office.
