Rogers Houston, the second of Samuel Houston's four wives, married 07 June 1891 in Monroe County. She was born about 1863, the daughter of James M. and Rebecca Pullen Rogers. Mrs. Samuel Houston died at her home near Hindostan Friday at 4 o'clock. Mrs. Houston was about 30 years old and a member of the Methodist church at Bethel. The remains were interred at Hindostan. She was a daughter of the late 'Squire James Rogers, and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The remains were buried in the same grave with her babe. Constance T.
