    3. Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Telephone, October 3, 1893, p. 4. Ed Whetsell has in his show window three boots that were made in France over a century ago showing the style of foot-wear in those days. The boots were brought over from Scotland about 30 years ago, by a tramp shoemaker, who left them in possession of a shoemaker in Indianapolis, in whose possession they have been until brought to Bloomington by J. B. Strong. The boots have been on exhibition at the State fair. Constance T.
