Adams, jr., and is now visiting in the city: "Rev. W. A. Shanklin, son-in-law of Rev. J. E. Brant, has been appointed to the First M. E. church at Seattle, Washington. Seattle is a city of 60,000 inhabitants and this important appointment is a fitting recognition of Rev. Shanklin's standinn [sic] in the church and his well known ability. Mrs. Shanklin will arrive in the city this afternoon to visit with her parents for a couple of days after which she will join her husband at Chicago and they will leave for Seattle." Constance T.
