    3. Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Progress, February 21, 1872, p. 3. The firm of Gabbert & Millen, Butchers, purchased of Andrew Dodds, recently, two beeves, three years old and past, one of which weighed 1,560, and the heaviest 1,810 pounds gross. Mr. Gabbert did not kill the eighteen hundred pound steer, but sold him to a gentleman who is buying fat cattle for shipment at an advance of ten dollars. The two beeves brought Mr. Dodds $168.75, which is better than a man can do with good horses as the market now rules----- Constance T. Shotts, Ed.D., CG(SM) CG and Certified Genealogist are Service Marks of the Board for Certification of Genealogists, used under license by board certificants after periodic evaluations by the Board and the board name is a trademark registered in the US Patent and Trademark Office.
