Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Progress, November 23, 1870, p. 3. "Dank" Spencer's trial is set for Thursday, in the Morgan County Circuit Court. It will be remembered that in a bar room altercation, at Spencer, Owen county, last summer, Dank shot and killed a railroad man. If we understand the object of the legal investigation which is to take place the present week, it is to fix his future post-office address. Mr. Voorhees will make an effort to send him to the Lunatic Asylum, another of his attorneys favors sending Dan [sic] home to Bloomington, while still other attorneys in the case urge a change of address to Jeffersonville.-------- Constance T.
