My mother went there in 1936 and had previously gone to Elm Heights, which are similar in design. ________________________________________ From: inmonroe-bounces@rootsweb.com [inmonroe-bounces@rootsweb.com] on behalf of Randi Richardson [gftl@bluemarble.net] Sent: Sunday, May 18, 2014 9:54 PM To: INMonroe@rootsweb.com Subject: [INMONROE] Site for New City Grade School to be Selected Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) World Star, March 7, 1930, p. 8. BOARD MAY SELECT SITE OF NEW CITY SCHOOL The definite site for the new city grade school building, which will be erected in the southwest part of the city soon, may be selected by the city school board at its meeting Monday, Supt. Ralph N. Tirey said Thursday. The city school board is making an attempt to secure a certain location in this district, and definite plans for the building cannot be formulated until this is done.
