Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Courier, July 16, 1887, p. 1. E. P. Adams died on last Sunday after long suffering with a kidney disease. His life was insured for $1,000, and Capt. Mart Alexander was named in his will as executor. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon under the auspices of the Odd Fellows. Mr. Adams was well known as a genial, whole-souled man who made many friends and but few enemies. His loss to this community is much to be regretted. Deceased was 47 years of age.
