    3. Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Telephone, October 17, 1893, p. 1. There came near being a fire at the residence of James Karsell, north College Avenue, Friday. In the morning a basket filled with clothes was placed on a stove in which there had been no fire. At the same time the girl lit some paper that was inside the stove, then left the room. There was more paper in the stove than was supposed and this fired the basket. In the meantime Mrs. R. J. Aley, who lives just north, gave the alarm and by prompt action the house was not damaged. Some of the clothes were destroyed. Constance T.
