Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Weekly Star, March 28, 1930, p. 1. ARREST SUMMITT ON LIQUOR SALE COUNT Stinesville Man to be tried April 4 at Spencer Theodore Summitt of Stinesville was arrested Wednesday night by county authorities on a charge of selling intoxicating liquor. Four others were arrested at Summitt's place at the same time on liquor law charges. The question of Summitt's alleged activities in selling booze was taken up by the grand jury at its recent session, Prosecuting Attorney Vern W. Ruble said, but insufficient evidence was at hand then for returning an indictment. Warrants for his arrest Wednesday were issued by Owen County authorities, and he will be tried April 4 at Spencer. Ruble and Deputy L. A. Stevenson will conduct the prosecution. Public intoxication, possession of liquor and purchase of liquor, respectively, are placed against others arrested with Summitt. Three have been arraigned and entered pleas of guilty.
