DEATH OF JOHN HIGGINS John Higgins, one of the pioneers of Monroe County, died at the home of Thomas Robertson nine miles north of the city Monday night at the age of 87 years. For some time he had been suffering from paralysis and that, coupled with the infirmities of age, resulted fatally. Mr. Higgins was the father of James Higgins of this city.
