Pittman, Bloomington, Ind., has been appointed one of the trustees of the Soldiers' Orphans' Home at Knightstown, Ind.Mrs. Pittman, wife of Judge Jeremiah T. Pittman, was the widow of Assistant Surgeon Thomas C. Williamson of the 24th Ind., killed at Champion Hill. She is the second woman in Indiana honored in like manner, Mrs. Vice President Hendricks holding a position as Trustee of the Reformatory for Women. Williamson Post, Paoli, Ind., is named in honor of Dr. Williamson. Mrs. Pittman, in response to a letter of inquiry, writes us that she is busily engaged in the work of reorganizing remodeling the Soldiers' Orphans' Home.
