Smithville (Monroe County, Indiana) News, March 26, 1909, p. 2. The K. of P's. claim that they cannot get any ground at any reasonable price to build their new home on. It seems that everybody that has a piece of ground in this town don't want to buy or sell, and for this reason the town is always held up from advancing any. The two lots where the sawmill used to be can be had without money to build a public hall on and it is a good location, too, plenty of room for the out of town lodge members to hitch their horses on, etc. If you want a new home and make an improvement to the town, get busy.
