A book in the library at the Monroe County History Center in Bloomington, Indiana, reveals much about the life and times of Rev. Warren C. Chafin. The book title is "THE SUNDAY SCHOOL MAN: THE DRAMATIC STORY OF THE LIFE AND WORK OF REV. W. C. CHAFIN. It was written by Maurice E. Endwright, undated, and contains many photographs among its 79 pages. According to information in the book, Chafin was born in Brown County, east of Nashville, on June 3, 1884. He married Rebecca Pittman in 1904. Chafin organized more than 100 Sunday schools in and around Monroe County.
