    3. Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Courier, March 3, 1899, p. 8. Damage Suit Against W. U. T. The Henley Stone Co., composed of Henry Henley, George W. Henley and Joseph E. Henley, have filed suit in the circuit court for $1000 against the Western Union Telegraph Co. The complaint states that Henley Stone Co. filed a message in the office at Bloomington, February 18, to V. N. May, South Bend, as follows: "Is stone work on building finished? Wire, answer today." Signed, Henley Stone Co. Complaint further states that 41 cents was paid for the transmission of the message, and then alleges that it was never received at all. Further that V. N. May lived within one fourth of a mile of the telegraph office in Terre Haute. Henley & Wilson, attorneys. Constance T.
