New, born 1 January 1884, son of Frank & Rose (Wehinger) New (page 406) and her name as Olive S. Dunn, born 1 November 1894, daughter John Stephenson & M. Dunn (page 266). The marriage date is listed as 15 October 1916, and as recorded in Marriage Book 16, page 009. Marriage license has been issued by County Clerk Rogers to Albert A. New and Olive Stephenson Dunn, of Stinesville. Mr. New is a book keeper and was born in Bocholt, Germany.

GEORGE TURNER DEAD William Turner, west Fourth street, has gone to Indianapolis in response to a message received announcing the sudden death of his brother, George, who dropped dead in that city this morning. The deceased was a single man, thirty-eight years of age, and formerly resided on west Eleventh street, this city. He was a stone sawyer by trade and had been engaged in that business in Indianapolis for the past six months. He is survived by two brothers, William and Wesley, this city and two sisters, Mrs. Sidney Matson, of Ellettsville, and Mrs. George Brown, Indianapolis, also by his mother, Mrs. Martha Turner, of Ellettsville. Mr. Turner will bring his brother's body to Ellettsville, where the funeral will be held, but no definite arrangements have been made.

We are very pleasantly located one block from the beach. It has been very warm here for the past week. Men wearing their palm beach suits and children going bare foot. The tourists have not begun to come in. All waiting until after election, to vote for Wilson before leaving for the Sunny South. We are disappointed in the failure of the oyster crop here this season. A very hard storm in July causing the oyster beds to fill with fresh water. Those that we are now getting are very small and lacking the usual good flavor. The pecan crop was also damaged in this same storm. Trees last year at this time that were heavily laden are perfectly bare this year, causing a great loss of the growers, who yearly receive a big revenue. Two gentlemen and I went out fishing yesterday morning in a row boat about three-quarters of a mile from the shore and in three hours caught 140 fish all good size, large enough to eat. You had better come down and try your luck. This is such a fine place for fishing and plenty of water in the Gulf of Mexico if you want to go swimming. Yours respectfully, FRANK H. ROSE.

They made the trip here in two automobiles.

Campbell, who was taken to a sanitarium at St. Louis for treatment for infantile paralysis, is reported slightly improved which will be gratifying to the many friends of the family.

The marriage date is listed as 1 October 1916, and as recorded in Marriage Book 16, page 006. Additional marriage records for Kim Parke were not found in this book. Marriage license has been issued to Kim Parke and Sarah Reynolds. The bride is the daughter of John Reynolds a farmer. The groom gives his occupation as a laborer and this is his third matrimonial voyage.
