Foster, of White Hall, and Miss Nora Baker, at Stanford, was solemnized this (Thursday) afternoon. The marriage took place at the home of the bride, and there were quite a number of relatives and friends present. Rev. George, of Owensburg, performed the ceremony. Both Mr. and Mrs. Foster are well known young people of the county, . Constance T. Albert Jacobs has purchased the 30-acre farm of James H. Burkhart east of town. Theodore Kietzer has purchased the 35-acre farm from Oscar Deckard at Ramp Creek. James H. Burkhart and Likens Littell will move to Smithville right away, and Albert Jacobs will move out to the farm that he has purchased. Oscar Deckard will move near Sanders. Roy Hill moved to Smithville on Tuesday from his mother's farm, and on the same day Zeke Hill moved to his mother's farm. James Ketchem (consider Ketcham a spelling variant), who recently bought the old Thrasher farm near Smithville, has moved to his property.

CITY COUNCIL Changes the Name of Gamble Street to Indiana Avenue The City Council met in regular session last night.Clerk Browning read a petition signed by a number of citizens on Gamble Street asking that the name of Gamble Street be changed to Indiana Avenue." On motion, the council decided to change the name of the street. It seems that a number of property owners on Gamble Street have been unable to rent their rooms to lady students on account of the name of the street.

SLEPT WITH A REVOLVER UNDER HIS HEAD Through her attorneys, Henley & Wilson, Nancy McKee yesterday filed suit for divorce from her husband, Hiram McKee. The complaint in part says: "That she and the defendant were duly married on August 18, 1887, and lived together as husband and wife with occasional separations until the 4th of September 1896, when they separated and have not since lived together. That the defendant was guilty of cruel and inhuman treatment to wit: That he threatened to kill the plaintiff, would curse her and call her vile names and follow her with a shotgun. He would sleep with a revolver under his head and declared that he could kill the plaintiff. That the defendant for the last three years of their married life failed to make reasonable support for her but compelled her to make her own living and support. Wherefore she asks for divorce and all other proper relief.
