Matthews was required to give bond until the October term of court. The damage suit of Asaph Parker against the city of Bloomington has been sent to Bedford on a change of venue.

Brummet, same parents, to Jasper Gowans, no birthdate or parents listed, recorded 2 June 1908 in Monroe County Marriage Book 12, page 150. Levi Hall and Cora Gowens were united in marriage yesterday afternoon at the office of county clerk Campbell. It was the second matrimonial venture for each of the contracting parties.

Death of Mrs. Charles Neill Mrs. Elzora Neill, wife of Charles Neill, a stonecutter, died at 2:30 this morning at her home on north Fairview street in her 46th year. Her death was due to dropsy. She is survived by a husband and three children. Interment Saturday at Simpson's chapel.

At a recent meeting of the city council, some one asked the question: "What direct benefit does the city get from the Bloomington hospital in return for the money the city contributes annually for its maintenance. The answer to this question is found in the number of charity patients the hospital cares for each year. At the meeting of the hospital board yesterday the report for June showed that the hospital cared for three charity patients during that month, the expense bill being $81. The hospital continues to get along nicely under the direction of the able superintendent, Mrs. Peake.

Ross, secretary of the city board of health reported a total of twenty deaths in June and 16 births in the same period of the deaths; 13 were male, and 7 female. Six tuberculosis cases were reported during the month, and 69 sanitary notices were issued; nuisances abated, 43; assisted by police in service notices 74 times. .

Mrs. Florence Reynolds Park, wife of Kim Park, an employe of the Creosoting company, died at 4:30 this morning at her home on south Washington street of cancer. She was 27 years old and a native of Kentucky. Funeral at the house at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon in charge of the Rev. James A. Brown, and interment at Rose Hill cemetery. Joseph Holland, seven months' old son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli A. Zehner, northwest of the city, died at seven o'clock this morning of summer complaint.
