A birthday party was given last evening in honor of Miss Esther Constable at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Smallwood, west Third street. The evening was spent in games and music, and refreshments of ice cream and cake were served. Miss Esther received many nice and useful presents. Those present to enjoy the occasion were: Misses Edith and Lillie Robertson, Grace Helms, Bertha Groh, Bernice Shelly, Marchie Cruse, Esther Constable, Messrs James Campbell, Charles Carter, Charles Dunlap, Roy Pope, Laurice Eaton, and Sherley Stuart.
Bloomington (Monroe County, Indiana) Evening World, May 31, 1912, p. 1. THE JOHN B. CRAFTON MONUMENT IN ROSE HILL One of the finest granite monuments in Rose Hill cemetery is that of John B. Crafton, formerly of this city, who was lost in the Titanic disaster. Mr. Crafton had the monument erected several years ago and it was his request that when he died he be laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery. He now sleeps in the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. His wife and son now reside at Roachdale Ind.

Faris as school trustee expires in August, and his successor will be selected by the City Council at its next meeting. Mr. Faris will not be a candidate for a second term, as he does not which [sic] to spare the time from his business. He has made a splendid trustee, and has given entire satisfaction to both patrons and teachers.
