Dugger.” [Transcribed from microfilm records at the Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library, Bloomfield, Indiana.] Mrs. Robert DUGGER died at a few minutes past noon Saturday at the home of her uncle, David BAKER in Loogootee, where she had been confined to her bed since her arrival there on January 26, from her home at Boulder, Colorado. Her death was due to tuberculosis, from which disease she had been a sufferer for over four years. After a short service at the BAKER home in Loogootee by Rev. I. W. LOWMAN, of the Christian church, last Sunday morning, the casket containing the body was taken to Vincennes over the B. & O. S. W. Ry, and then to Switz City over the Vandalia railroad, where it was met by Undertaker RYAN and conveyed to the home of her step-father, John W. GRAHAM, in Bloomfield. In the funeral party accompanying the remains were her husband, Robert DUGGER and little son, Robert, J. W. GRAHAM and sons, Rex GRAHAM and L. S. GRAHAM, Mrs. Luna GRAHAM, of Bedford, and Miss Minnie BAKER, of Loogootee. The funeral services were conducted from the GRAHAM home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the presence of the relatives and a few friends. Following the desire of the deceased no flowers were used at the funeral. The services were in charge of Elder J. A. SPENCER, who paid tribute to the worth of the deceased as a daughter, wife and mother, not forgetting the bereaved husband who had so faithfully and attentively administered to her every need and comfort, during the long flight to prolong her life, which peacefully came to a close last Saturday. Interment in the Grandview Cemetery. Mae POINDEXTER DUGGER, daughter of Wylie and Emma (BAKER) POINDEXTER, was born Dec. 18, 1880, near Shoals her father dying when she was but three months old. Her mother was re-married to John W. GRAHAM in September 1883 and Mae with her mother went to live with her new found father—the only father she ever knew and one who was to her a father in all that the term implies. This family removed to Bloomfield in 1887, where Mae attended school until the death of her mother in 1892. In 1893 she went to reside with her uncle, David BAKER, near Shoals, with whom she remained for about six years, during which time she attended the Shoals public schools and was graduated from the Shoals High School in 1899. She united with the Christian Church at Shoals, when she was about sixteen years old. She again took up her home in her stepfather’s family in Bloomfield and was married to Robert B. DUGGER in May 1902. To them was born a son, Dec. 17, 1906, who with his father survives his mother. That dread disease, tuberculosis, developed and the young mother spent the spring and summer of 1907 with a tent colony at Ottawa, Illinois, which seemed to give relief, but on returning to her Bloomfield home the improvement proved to be only temporary. She went to Colorado with her little family, hoping that the mountain climate might restore health and happiness, but in vain, as after all that skill and loving care could do she gradually grew weaker until when all hope of recovery was gone, she was brought to the home of her uncle, David BAKER, at Loogootee, where within ten days after her arrival there her life came to a peaceful end. Relatives and friends from a distance at the funeral were: David BAKER, MISS Minnie BAKER, Loogootee; Wm. POINDEXTER, Shoals; Christian POINDEXTER, Burns City; Chars. GRAHAM, Harry MILLER, Miss Luna GRAHAM, Mrs. Minerva MILLER, Bedford; Mrs. W. S. SENTNEY, Mrs. Will GRAHAM, Bloomington, Mrs. Wallace THATCHER and Mrs. Lena DARNELL, Indianapolis, sisters of Robert. DUGGER; Mr. and Mrs. M. E. DUGGER, Mrs. O. E. DUGGER, Mrs. E. H. DUGGER, Dugger. Link: [Link to a Death Notice of her mother, Emma E.
