    1. [INMARTIN] usage of INMARTIN-L@rootsweb.com

    3. The last few months people have been using INMARTIN-L@rootsweb.com in a way that I find difficult to deal with. Queries are sent to the list [legitimate], and answers are made to the list. It is the latter with which I take issue. Answers are fine, but only if you know the question that was asked. People who RESPOND to the list are sometimes careless about identifying the query. I am seeing responses which I might parody something like this: "Mary: I have some information about your line. Please contact me. John" I believe responses to the list would be much more useful if they included a SHORT statement of the query to which the response is being made, including the primary source of the query. Just a suggestion. John Ragle
