Ragles entered Indiana about 1815-1820 and lived in the northern part of Orange Co. My direct line of Ragles lived astride the northern end of the Daviess-Martin County line from 1835 to about 1906. There is a familyplot and satellite graves in the Raglesville Cemetery. The families KELLER, RICHARDSON, TOON, KECK, TRUEBLOOD, CARPENTER all connect at least once, and sometimes several different ways to this line, which begins with Peter Ragle and his wife Margaret Wadsworth, my 2x GGparents. In addition, there are other Ragle families in the New Albany and Washington areas, as well as near Otwell. I have detailed files on many of these lines, but have nothing on the KELLER, RICHARDSON, CARPENTER lines, which is a pity, as my GGF Alonzo Ragle writes fondly about these close relatives of his in letters to his sons in the years around 1895-1905. My files are available for sharing at http://jlragle.chem.umass.edu/index.htm or by private communication to jlr@chemserv.chem.umass.edu I would be delighted to contact persons with information that connects with mine.
