This is roll call information: I am seeking any information about the family of Lewis (b. ca.1798) and Margaret (Montgomery) WARD (b.1810). In 1842, Lewis and Margaret Ward moved to Daviess CO. The 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses showed this family in Alfordsville. However, many of the children's marriages occurred in Martin CO. Children were: Martha Ann Ward ARVIN (William) Catherine Ward CANNON (Isaac) John Lewis Ward (Susan Amanda MILES) married in Loogootee at St. John's Catholic Church Rebecca Jane Ward BURCH (Michael A.) Nancy Ann Ward SIMMERS (Thomas) James Pius Ward (Martha Jane MILES) Joseph Ezekiel WARD Lucy Ann Ward QUEEN (Richard Marsham) Hillary Ward (Sarah Jane BURCH) Louvinia/Lavina Ward MILES (Elza B.) CLEMENTS (Bazel) Mary Dorena Martina Ward STRANGE (John S.) buried at St. John's Catholic Church cemetery in Loogootee. Margaret Ward TEWELL (William) Lewis must have died between 1870-80. Margaret was alive for the 1880 census where she was found living with her unmarried daughter Mary in Martin CO. I am most interested in finding the death and burial information for this couple. However, I would be pleased to discover anything more about the children as well. My connection is John Lewis Ward. If anyone has access to a printed copy of the 1860 Martin County census, I would very much appreciate knowing if John Lewis and Susan Amanda Ward appear on it and, if so, what information is shown.
