Here is the text of a letter that W. W. Pate wrote to my great grandfather Alonzo Ragle, husband of Susan Ellen Toon: " Pleasant Hill, Mo, Nov. 24, 1876 "Dear Brother and Sister [envelope addressed to "Elinzo Ragale Esq. Keck's Church, Martin Co. Ind."] "I with a sad hart take my pen hand to drope you a line Eliza died on 20th day of November She died in full faith of a better life I am so sad that I can not tell you all I will send you somthing more in a short time I am going to still keep [ilegible; on fold] She supplied a grate deal and my object is to live to meet her in a better land The children is all well hope you are the same May the blessing of heven rest on all With tears in my eyes I close Oh what can I do Yours WW Pate" I have the original, as well as a couple of other letters that Eliza wrote to her sister Susan [they were 4 years apart]. I have records on a passle of Pates, mostly [I think] from Jinks Pate Lee. John Ragle

    1. [INMARTIN] 1850 Indiana Census Index
    2. John Ragle
    3. I am looking for the 1850 INDIANA federal census record on one WALLACE RAGLE, head of household, County and Twp. unknown, but possibly Clinton Co. Rootsweb reports "no record found" when queried "1850 Census Clinton Co. IN" but there must be a state index available somewhere? Either a lookup or a pointer would be appreciated. Need POB and parent info. John Ragle
