    3. Hi, List, I am searching for the burial place of William Thomas Damewood, who was buried in Indianapolis in mid-July 1943. I am also trying to find out what happened to William's wife, Myrtle, after his death. William was born in 1874 in Parke County, Indiana, and grew up in Niantic, Illinois. He married Myrtle Thompson of Indianapolis 6 Feb 1898 in that city. The Damewoods lived at 1915 Ruckle Street in Indianapolis at the time of the 1900 census. They moved to Chicago by 1920, and remained there, where William worked as a paving contractor. William died suddenly in July 1943 in Niagara Falls, Canada. A funeral service was conducted in Chicago, and burial evidently took place shortly after that in Indianapolis, but we have no record of the cemetery. We have never been able to find out what Myrtle did after William's death; perhaps she moved back to Indianapolis. William and Myrtle had no children. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
