Bryant Bray (my GGrandfather) was b around 1884 in Nelson Ky. and died around 1926-29? in Marion Indiana. Oliver was Bryant's son and is listed in the Marion 1930 census with Nancy as the head of the household where his father, Bryant is missing. Ollie or Oliver is listed with Sallie as his wife. I've ran up against a brick wall with Ollie, and haven't been able to find where they went after this census. I might help me if you could give a bit more detail about those people, such as dates or other members of the family. Do they appear in any of the censuses. Hi Lori: I just checked the 1930 Census and Nancy Bray was living at 820 Chadwick Street which is just South of West McCarty Street. My GGrandparents lived just straight north of Nancy on West Merrill Street. They were living within a half mile of each other. The old City Cemetery otherwise known as Greenlawn Cemetery was within a mile of where they lived and that is where they buried my GGrandfather in 1882. The only way I located his burial place was thru his death certificate. The problem is that the land the cemetery was on was sold and the graves were supposedly moved to other cemeteries; ie, Crown Hill, Floral Park, Holy Cross, etc.. I have never found my GGrandfather yet and I believe that he is still buried under Diamond Chain. Whenever they have construction projects at the plant, they still find graves that are still there. Perhaps that is where your Bryant is buried. The birth and death records are considered confidential and the last time I was in Indianapolis and tried to access the records they wouldn't let me. At that time, the only access was thru the Department of Health: Hasbrook Building, First Floor 3838 N. Rural St. Indianapolis, IN 46205 Phone: 317/221-2400 Nan Nancy Lee White County Coordinator for Marion and Ohio Counties INGenExchange and County Coordinator for Hardin and Union Counties OHGenExchange http://www.genexchange.org/county.php?state=in&county=marion http://www.genexchange.org/county.php?state=in&county=ohio http://www.genexchange.org/county.php?state=oh&county=hardin http://www.genexchange.org/county.php?state=oh&county=union Volunteers have a warm fuzzy feeling!
