    2. According to my grandfather's WWI Draft Registration Card, he worked at the Imperial Drop Forge, 510 Harding St. Indpls. Can anyone give me any information on this business? My grandfather is my brickwall. I cannot find his date of death nor burial location He last appeared in the 1920 US Census in Indpls. He was Karl /Carl Fitchie/Fitchey. I made contact with Fitchey's in Indpls. earlier, but they could not help. Any direction /assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Jan in FL.

    3. My father worked for the Indianapolis Drop Forge for years, and it may be the same place. I think it went out of business in the 60s or 70s if it's the same place. Did the draft registration card have a home address?     2. Hi Jan, I don't know anything about your Fitchey's. But here is what I did to find my lost ancestors in Indy. 1) Look up your Karl/Carl in city directories until he disappears. He probably died. Then you get an estimated year. 2) Go to http://maps.google.com/. Type in the last address from the city directory. 3) Just after the SEARCH button are 3 small links: Search the Map, Find businesses, Get Directions. Click FIND BUSINESSES. 4) Type in cemetery in the next search field. It will give you cemeteries within a 6-10 mile radius of that address. 5) Start calling the cemeteries to find out if your Karl is there.
